November 6, 2014

Experience an evening featuring the Wonderbound Hares in a beautiful collaboration including clarinetist Joseph Lukasik and the Confluence String Quartet. Featuring Sarah Tallman‘s “Intimate Letters” and a world premiere piece by Artistic Director Garrett Ammon, this evening promises to be unforgettable.

Tallman’s “Intimate Letters” is inspired by the more than 700 love letters written by Janacek and kept in Theresienstadt concentration camp. This haunting work delves into the complexities of relationships and brings audiences on a viscerally emotional journey.

Ammon’s new piece will bring Confluence String Quartet and Joseph Lukasik together to create a work that will consist of klezmer-style compositions researched by Lukasik and arranged by Confluence Cellist Richard Von Foerster. The result will produce an all new musical arrangement created specifically for “Messages” that will be an exploration of Jewish legends and customs conveyed through Ammon’s signature athletic style.

Price: $30–$36
