Project Generations was conceived as an ongoing, creative dialog with our elders to uncover new artistic possibilities while creating experiences that increase physical, emotional and creative activity. Overseen by registered dance/movement therapist Heather Sutton, Project Generations engages seniors in four assisted living communities and one Alzheimer’s unit in the Denver area.

Occurring twice monthly at each community, Project Generations is helping residents with physical cognizance and strength, memory retention, and intellectual acuity while creating an environment that encourages dialog, creativity and socialization. The programing at each community is unique and created in collaboration with the residents to reflect their tastes and interests. Wonderbound’s company artists join Heather regularly to dance and socialize with residents during these programs.

Through the request of participants, additional activities are being added to the Project Generations programming. These activities will include themed dance parties, visiting Wonderbound rehearsals at Junction Box, and attending Wonderbound season performances.
