Anaya Cullen designs and creates costumes for dance, theater, and independent film. Anaya is honored and delighted to join the creative team at Wonderbound for the 2016/2017 Season! An import to Colorado from California where she spent 7 seasons with State Street Ballet, Anaya is passionate about working with the kinetic sculpture of dance. A silk dyer, Anaya enjoys blending custom colors and strives to create an artistic union of movement and fabric in a production, employing traditional techniques in the service of contemporary innovation.

Awards & Residencies include: Creative Resident at Parsons Paris School of Art + Design, 2010, Recipient of the SB Fiber Arts Guild’s LaVelle Ure Memorial Educational Grant, 2010, Artmonk-in- Residence at The Art Monastery Project, Italy, 2012, Artist-in- Residence with the Colorado Art Ranch and The Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute's project Aldo & Leopold, 2013, Artmonk-in- retreat, The Art Monastery Project, Spring 2016. Board Member, Future Traditions Foundation.

Anaya’s designs are featured in Nauset Press’s 2013 publication “Your Flesh Shall Be A Poem: The Art of Plein Air Dance,” by Robin Bisio.
