Joined Wonderbound 2015
Amy began her dance training at age 9, studying all disciplines of dance at Dance Arts Centre in Eden Prairie, MN. At age 13, she joined La Danse Fatale, under the direction of Julia Levina where she was giving the opportunity to perform leading roles in their contemporary showcases. She left Minnesota at age 16 and completed her junior and senior years of high school at The Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., under the direction of Oleg Vinogradov and Marat Daukayev. She has also had the pleasure of studying with many different companies her favorites being, American Ballet Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, and the New National Theatre Ballet of Tokyo. Upon graduating from Kirov, Amy moved to Denver, and has since performed professionally for numerous companies including Colorado Ballet, Dawson Wallace Dance Project, and Boulder Ballet. She has been given the opportunity to perform principal roles in some of her favorite classical ballets including The Firebird, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Amy also collaborated with Collective Body Dance Lab in 2012 performing for Brian Carrey Chung in New York City and Chicago. Amy is very excited to start her first season with Wonderbound!
